Description
Composition in tones earthy, gray, ochre, black, white and yellow. Thick texture especially on the face, neck and hand figure. Bust of St. Francis of Assisi holding a bird, occupying almost the entire support area against background in shades of gray and earthy. The saint is facing, with the head turned slightly to the right. It has long face, short hair with bangs covering of the forehead which is marked by wrinkles horizontally. It has large eyes, almond-shaped, separate, facing right; thin, long nose, narrow lips closed, dark beard and mustache, thin neck with marked wrinkles. wears cassock in earthy tone, with flap at the shoulders, a characteristic of the order he founded. On the right arm bent at the time of very thin chest and hand with outstretched fingers holding between the thumb, which is not visible, and the index finger, bird on earthy tone with plumage indicated by lines and black dots. The animal is in profile to the left, has long neck, head turned up and fallen long tail to the right. Background from top to almost the height of the saint's eyes, on earthy and tone down, gray tone, and the boundary between the two areas is slightly diagonal rising from the left to the right.
