Description
Composition in black and white. Straight, parallel, angular and shaded lines. Group of workers occupying the entire height of the composition, surrounded by vegetation, rushes and boy with lamb. Of the five farmers, three are well delineated and two behind just outlined. The front figures, hold work tools in the hands. From the left to the right, the first figure is from the front wearing a white shirt and pants rolled up, vertically striped, as well as the central figure. The third figure is 3/4 turned to the left and slightly behind. The two sketched figures are seen behind the shoulders of those in front, standing barefoot and wearing hats. On the right, boy back, 3/4 facing left, looking for workers, and beside him a sheep. On the left, tuft of vegetation as hosta leaves. In the background, on the right, rushes representation.
